Matthew Montañez is an experienced professional with a diverse work history. Matthew is currently working as the Co-Founder and CTO of Akin Mental Health since February 2021. Prior to that, they served as the CTO at Monkey Taps from February 2020 to January 2021.

From 2014 to 2021, Matthew was a Co-Founder at Control Flow Collective, where they played a key role in the company's development.

In 2018, they joined Joymode as a Growth Engineering Manager and later transitioned to a Software Engineer role.

Before that, they were a Web Developer at PriceGrabber.com from 2011 to 2013, where they developed features and led a creative programming group.

Matthew's career began in 2005 as the Co-Founder of Big Smile Magazine, where they designed and developed a media platform focused on music in Los Angeles and Orange County. The website received significant organic and social networking traffic.

From 2005 to 2011, Matthew Montañez attended California State University, Los Angeles, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
