Søfren Poulsson is the current FPSO at Aker Energy. Søfren has previously worked as the SVP Technical & Operations at Ocean Operations from April 2020 to January 2022. Prior to that, they were the VP Technical and Maintenance at Aker Floating Production from October 2007 to April 2020. Søfren started their career as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Aker Solutions from January 2001 to December 2007.

Søfren Poulsson is a civil engineer and has a MSc in mechanical engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Søfren specializes in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and the design of pumps and turbines.

They work with Ståle Monstad - Chief Geologist & License Manager, Eiliv Gjesdal - Chief Finance Officer, and Per Arne Nilsen - Manager of Subsea Technologies. Their manager is Håvard Garseth, Chief Executive Officer.
