Ben Raynak has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Ben started their career as an Intern at Reedlogic Corporation, where they conducted cold calls to secure interviews for a video seminar series and created DVD video seminars. Ben then worked as a Supervisor at Clark University, managing a team of student phone callers and handling software systems.
Raynak then moved on to Soliya, where they interned and completed a professional training program in conflict resolution and group dialogue facilitation. Ben also conducted research on Arab/Muslim World issues.
Following that, Raynak started working at Mass General Brigham, where they held various roles. Ben served as a Contracts Team Coordinator, categorizing and distributing contractual agreements between Massachusetts General Hospital and collaborating institutions. Ben then became a Contracts Administrator, negotiating incoming research agreements and managing legal agreements for clinical trials and multinational studies. Later, as a Contracts Specialist, they oversaw the contracting needs of research departments and negotiated incoming agreements and outgoing subcontracts. Lastly, they served as a Senior Agreement Associate, independently managing the contracting needs of the AIDS Clinical Trial Group (ACTG) and developing program management strategies.
Currently, Raynak is working at Akebia Therapeutics. Ben started as a Contracts Manager, designing clinical trial contracting strategies and negotiating various agreements. Ben then became an Associate Director, where they strategically managed transactional contract negotiations and led supply agreement negotiations. Currently, they hold the position of Director, Legal Affairs, serving as the legal business partner for multiple functions at Akebia and providing full-service legal support.
Throughout their career, Raynak has demonstrated expertise in contract management, negotiation, and legal support across various industries.
Ben Raynak attended Clark University from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and International Relations. In 2007, they also attended the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth for a brief period and completed a Graduate program in Intensive Portuguese Immersion.
