Sami Säily has over 20 years of work experience in the IT field. In 1997, they began as a System Analyst at Atex. In 2002, they moved to Jutel Oy as a Senior Software Engineer. In 2005, they became the Chief Architect at Incode Ltd. In 2007, they moved to TopOne Ltd. as the Technology Director and Partner. In 2013, they joined Digia Plc as a Solution Architect. In 2016, they moved to Wärtsilä as the Solution Architect for IoT. In 2020, they joined Aiven as a Solutions Architect and was later promoted to Senior Solutions Architect.

Sami Säily attended the University of Oulu, where they obtained a fil.yo. degree in the Department of Information Processing Science. Sami has not completed any additional certifications.
