Steve Summerville attended Washburn University from 1978 to 1980, where they earned a Bachelors in Social Sciences with a focus in Clinical/Medical Social Work. Steve was active in student government, serving as President of the Black Student Alliance and Student Government President. Prior to Washburn, Steve attended Fort Scott Community College from 1976 to 1977, earning an Associate's Degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services.
