Sam Van Gysegem's work experience includes:

1. Embedded Systems Engineer at AiSight (2021-present): Sam is a member of a hardware team, responsible for developing high-quality modern C++ code for embedded systems. This involves architecture design, coding, debugging, testing, and review. Sam also participates in hardware design review, requirements validation, brainstorming sessions, and provides system-level support for cross-functional collaboration with other teams.

2. VTK Careerteam at VTK Gent (2020-2021): Sam worked in the Career & Development department, supporting corporate relations and development opportunities for engineering students. They organized various activities to connect students and companies, including the UGent Business Game, Jobfair, Sector Days, and Development Courses.

3. Student Startup Trip Participant at Academics for Technology (2021): Sam participated in a trip focused on startups and entrepreneurship.
