Alberto Rinaldi

Team Lead HW Engineering & Product Owner at AiSight

Alberto Rinaldi has a diverse work experience. Alberto started their career at Federazione Italiana Nuoto as a Lifeguard from May 2009 to September 2010. Alberto then moved on to work as an R&D Mechanical Engineer at LEVITRONIX from September 2015 to June 2016, where they worked on designing and testing high-flow bearingless pumps using computer-automated design and Additive Manufacturing technology.

Alberto then pursued a role as a Visiting Student Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley from 2016 to 2017, where they developed a tool to find the optimal build direction for 3D printing while considering geometric tolerances. Alberto also tested the tool on functional parts for an air pollution sensors start-up.

In 2018, Rinaldi joined Radiate Engineering & Design AG as an Engineering Designer and Product Developer until March 2020. Here, they contributed to product development projects.

Since 2020, Rinaldi has been working at AiSight, where they have held multiple roles. Alberto started as a Product Design Engineer from March 2020 to December 2021, leading the design process from prototyping to mass production and installation. Alberto then transitioned to a Tech Lead Mechanical Engineering & Product Owner role in January 2022, where they drove the development of the mechanical team and ensured the team's capability to deliver customer-focused products. Currently, they are the Team Lead HW Engineering & Product Owner, starting in July 2022, where they oversee the development of the electrical, mechanical, and firmware teams, leading strategic ideation and product development phases.

Alberto Rinaldi's education history begins with their high school diploma from ISIS Marie Curie, which they obtained from 2006 to 2011. Alberto then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano from 2012 to 2014. In 2013, they also had a brief stint at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology for their Bachelor's degree. Subsequently, Alberto pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Mechanical Engineering at ETH Zürich from 2014 to 2017. As part of their master's program, they served as a Visiting Student Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley from 2016 to 2017, working on their Master's thesis.
