Chris Stump has a diverse work experience in software development and engineering. From 2002 to 2003, they worked as a Software Developer at Inter7 Internet Technologies, contributing to open-source projects in the email marketing industry. In 2003, they joined Nimkathana Corporation as a Software Developer, focusing on mobile device programming for disaster site inspections.

From 2004 to 2009, Chris worked at Atypon Systems as a Software Engineer, specializing in Java EE frontend web development for academic journal publishing. During their time there, they also handled large data migrations.

Between 2009 and 2015, Chris co-owned Mighty Nice, a hybrid wedding invitation startup. Chris played various roles, including Ruby/Rails developer, PHP/WordPress hacker, business developer, sysadmin, accountant, and marketer.

From 2011 to 2014, they served as a Software Developer at Table XI Partners LLC, where they worked on various projects as a full-stack Ruby/Rails developer, including manufacturing workflow redesign, large Ember.js application development, and open-source project maintenance.

From 2014 to 2016, Chris worked at Centro as a Senior Software Engineer and later as a Software Architect. Chris'sresponsibilities included backend development using Ruby/Rails, occasional frontend work using React/JavaScript, and assisting in designing and building the infrastructure for a large advertising sales web application.

Since 2016, Chris has been working at Airspace, first as a Senior Software Engineer, then as a Director of Engineering, and currently as the VP of Engineering. Chris'swork has focused on time-critical shipping logistics, improving the company's platform through the adoption of React, transitioning to Sidekiq, implementing an EDI gateway, and overseeing major platform redesigns. In their current role, they ensure the efficient operation of their team, maintains code quality, and sets best coding practices to meet quarterly goals.

Chris Stump earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology & Psychology from Loyola University Chicago in 1999. They later pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from the same university, completing it in 2003.
