Kayla Gomes has worked in a variety of roles since 2010. Kayla began their career as a Marketing and Programs Associate for the World Trade Center San Diego in 2010. In 2011, they became a Reporter for "Newscene" at San Diego City College. Kayla then moved on to become a News Writer for Kron 4 News in 2013. In 2014, they were an Account Associate for MSR Communications. In 2016, they became a Publicist for ARTEMIA Communications, Inc. Finally, in 2018, they were a Consultant for Aircover Communications.

Kayla Gomes is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of San Diego. Kayla has also been studying Spanish Language and Literature at the Universidad de Salamanca since 2012, Portuguese Language and Literature at the Centro de Linguas in Faro, Portugal since 2006, and Broadcast Journalism at San Diego City College.
