Erdan Gu is a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Airbnb since January 2023, specializing in Search and Knowledge Graph Infrastructure. Previously at Google for nearly 13 years, Erdan served as a Tech Lead Manager focusing on data and search infrastructure, including significant experience in Knowledge Graph and Web Search infrastructures, leading initiatives for Web Search Indexing and E2E Experimentation. Prior roles include Sr. Software Engineer at EFI, working on printing systems, and Research Assistant Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, where work concentrated on eye, gaze, and facial expression animation in multiparty conversation environments. Erdan Gu holds a Ph.D. in Computer and Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania, along with a Master's and Bachelor's in Computer Science from Zhejiang University.
