Alvin Tan is the Head of Engineering at AirAsia X Berhad since April 2022, responsible for overseeing key engineering operations including CAMO, Part 145, and Quality Assurance, while aligning technical capabilities with business needs and managing aircraft leases and service provider contracts. Prior experience at Airbus from November 2013 to March 2022 included roles as Field Services Manager and Field Service Representative, focusing on customer satisfaction and operational support for Airbus operators. Earlier positions at AirAsia Berhad involved the management of design assurance and technical services, and initial experiences included research at Missouri S&T on skin melanoma and an internship at Measat Satellite. Alvin Tan holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Missouri Science & Technology, earned between 2005 and 2010.
