Winnie Thomas has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Winnie is currently working as a Lead Engineer HPC at AIRA MATRIX since November 2021. Prior to this, they were a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Computer Architecture Dependable Systems Lab (CADSL) from June 2018 to November 2021.

In 2017, Winnie worked as an Assistant Professor at K J Somaiya College of Engineering Vidyanagar Campus Vidyavihar Mumbai-400 077 for a brief period from December 2017 to June 2018.

Before that, they worked at VEERMATA JIJABAI TECHNOLOGICAL INSTITUTE, where they held multiple roles. Winnie started as a Research Fellow from July 2011 to November 2017 and then became an Assistant Professor from July 2010 to July 2011.

Winnie Thomas earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Electronics Engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI) from 2011 to 2017. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2010, Winnie completed a Master of Technology (MTech) degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering, also at VJTI. Further back in education, Winnie obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from the University of Mumbai, studying from 2003 to 2007. During the early years of education, Winnie attended Kendriya Vidyalaya from 1991 to 2003. Additionally, Winnie obtained a certification in Heterogeneous Parallel Programming in January 2013, although the issuing institution is not provided.
