Ameyu Tolera is a Research Engineer at Verisk, specializing in extreme event solutions since January 2023. Previously, Ameyu served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Florida International University in the College of Engineering & Computing from August 2019 to December 2022. Ameyu holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science (MS) in Civil Engineering, both obtained from Florida International University. Additionally, Ameyu earned a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Western University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Addis Ababa University.
