Simone Koehlinger

Chief Program Officer at AIDS Foundation of Chicago

Simone Koehlinger has a diverse work experience in the public health sector. Simone started their career as a Counseling Center - Psychology Intern at Texas Woman's University in 1998. From there, they worked as a Project Manager and Coordinator at Howard Brown Health Center from 2000 to 2005. In 2005, they joined the Chicago Dept Public Health as the Director of the Office of LGBT Health, a role they held until 2010. Following that, they worked at the Public Health Institute of Metropolitan Chicago as a Director from 2010 to 2013. Currently, they are the Chief Program Officer at the AIDS Foundation of Chicago, a position they have held since 2013.

Simone Koehlinger pursued their education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Valparaiso University, completing their studies from 1987 to 1991. Simone then continued their academic journey, specializing in Clinical Psychology, by obtaining a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, Chicago Campus, which they accomplished between 1995 and 2001.
