Kim Sing Cheng

Engineering Manager - Genai Labs at Ahold Delhaize

Kim Sing Cheng has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and software development. Kim Sing started their career as a Software Developer at OCLC in 2008, where they worked on developing a search algorithm for a library database. Kim Sing then worked as a Game Developer at Mobile Now Group in 2010 before joining Rabobank ICT as a Java Developer in 2012. In 2016, Kim joined de Bijenkorf as a Back end developer, and in 2017, they joined Ahold Delhaize as a Java Developer. Kim then transitioned to Techgrounds in 2019, where they held roles such as Head of IT, CTO, and Non Executive CTO. Currently, they are working at Ahold Delhaize as a Site Reliability Engineer and will soon assume the role of Tech lead - Labs. Overall, Kim has gained experience in various technical roles throughout their career.

Kim Sing Cheng completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences from 2006 to 2011. Prior to that, Kim attended Hervormd Lyceum West and obtained a HAVO degree in Natuur & Techniek from 2001 to 2006. Kim also holds additional certifications in Programming Mobile Applications for Android Handheld Systems from Coursera and a Scrum Foundation Professional Certificate from CertiProf, obtained in 2014 and January 2021, respectively.
