Alfred H Knight has an opportunity for a Sample Preparation Technician to join our team based in Gonzales, Louisiana. The Sample Preparation Technician will be responsible for carrying out analytical methods and standard operating practices under supervision to a high degree of precision and accuracy, ensuring that an effective and high quality analytical service is provided to meet reporting deadlines on the various types of samples/commodities submitted to the laboratory for analytical evaluation.

Required Work Experience 

• No previous work experience is required. All training will be provided to carry out the duties of the role. However previous experience working with Coal or Biomass would be advantageous.

Required Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the role including lifting up to 50lbs, walking, standing, reaching, bending, climbing, sampling and driving.

Travel / Rotation Requirements 

• In accordance with business needs.
