Ivan Sokol has worked in various roles related to Geographic Information Systems since 2015. Ivan began their career as a GIS-engineer at the Research Institute of Moscow Public Transport in 2015. In 2016, they moved to the Urban Planning Committee of Moscow in the same role. In 2018, they were promoted to Team Lead and Analyst of GIS Department at the Main Architectural and Urban Planning Company of Moscow. In 2019, they worked as both a Project Manager (Holon Property Taxes) and Surveyor at Orhitec GIS. Currently, Ivan is a Geographic Information Systems Analyst at Agritask, where they are responsible for implementing automations into spatial analytics, cloud masking algorithms using machine learning and raster data analysis, and data analytics.
Ivan Sokol obtained a Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems and Cartography from Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography (MIIGAiK) in 2015. In 2020, they also obtained a certification in Responsive Web Design from freeCodeCamp.
