Pieter Klapwijk has extensive experience in supply chain economics, strategy and supply chain management. Pieter co-founded AgOS, a company that develops and implements new concepts for agricultural supply chains using blockchain technology and supply chain finance. Prior to AgOS, Pieter worked as an independent counselor/consultant and was a board member of SCF Community. Pieter also served as a Professor in Supply Chain Economics at Nyenrode Business Universiteit and was a (guest) speaker. Before that, Pieter was a founding partner of Trimoteur, a management and investment company that created and exited several successful projects. Pieter began their career at A.T. Kearney Management Consultants, specializing in strategy and supply chain management. Pieter also worked in operations research at ORES and as a training developer at the United Nations Development Program.
Pieter Klapwijk completed their PhD in Regional Economics at the University of Amsterdam in 1996. Before that, they obtained a Master's Degree in Management Sciences from Imperial College London in 1981. In 1975, Pieter received a Master's Degree in Physics from Delft University of Technology. Pieter completed their International Baccalaureate at European School Brussels in 1968.
