Ariel Landa has a diverse work experience in the food and hospitality industry. Ariel started their career in 2013 as a Commis I/Line Cook at Terra Restaurant, specializing in cold and hot appetizers. In 2015, they worked as a Line Cook at Origin North, primarily focused on the grill station.
In 2016, Ariel joined Beacon Hall Private Equity Golf Club as a Chef De Partie, responsible for directing a team of 5 cooks and managing lunch and dinner services. Ariel also handled inventory controls and expedited service in the absence of senior chefs.
From 2018 to 2019, Ariel worked as an Operations Specialist at ERC Restaurant Consulting. Ariel collaborated with restaurant designers, sales representatives, and clients to create menus, establish kitchen layouts, and develop operational systems. Ariel also played a role in building strong brand images for their clients.
In 2019, Ariel joined the Courtyard by Marriott Toronto Downtown as a Food and Beverage Supervisor, with a focus on banquets, meetings, and events operations. Ariel managed multiple dining outlets, including a full-service restaurant, grab-and-go concept, and room service. Ariel worked closely with various teams to ensure efficient operation and completed administrative tasks related to billing.
In 2020, Ariel became the owner of Lavish, where they managed marketing, brand development, and operations. Lavish aimed to provide exceptional entertainment experiences by understanding the challenges of impressing people in the modern era.
Most recently, Ariel has been working at Agilysys since 2021, first as a Training and Implementation Specialist for ResortSuite and currently as a Project Manager. Ariel has been involved in managing projects and ensuring successful implementations.
Additionally, Ariel has a background in personal catering, having served as a Private Chef and Owner since 2016. Ariel organized and catered events for various group sizes, customized menus to meet individual client needs, and coordinated with vendors and rental companies.
Ariel Landa has a diverse education history. They earned a Master's degree in Global Hospitality Leadership (MPS) from Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies, from the years 2017 to 2019. Additionally, in 2017, Ariel obtained a Culinary Certificate in the Evolution of Italian Cuisine from the Italian Culinary Institute (ICI).
Prior to their Master's degree, Ariel completed a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in Psychology from York University, graduating from the years 2012 to 2015.
Furthermore, Ariel has obtained two additional certifications: Certificate for Planning and Controls for Food and Beverage Operations from the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI) in December 2018, and Certificate in Hotel Industry Analytics (CHIA) from AHLEI in December 2018.
