William Jen has a varied work experience, beginning with a role as a Student Programmer at University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2014. In 2015, they took on the role of Associate Embedded Engineer at Extreme Engineering Solutions, followed by a Mechanical Engineer Intern role at Miller Electric Mfg. Co. in 2017. In 2018, they began their first role as an Operations Engineer Intern at Facebook, followed by a Graduate Teaching Assistant role at Stanford University in 2019. William returned to Facebook in 2019 for another role as an Operations Engineer Intern before taking on a Graduate Teaching Assistant role at Stanford University again in 2020. Most recently, they have begun a role as a Software Engineer at Boston Dynamics in 2020 and is set to become a Software Engineer II at Agility Robotics in 2022.

William Jen obtained their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering & Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2018. William then went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, which they completed in 2020.
