Mendel Perkins has a diverse work experience, starting with a role as a Customer Service provider at McBain Camera in 2007. In 2008, Mendel worked as a Photographer and later became an Assistant at Mendel Perkins Photography until 2012. Concurrent with the photography business, Mendel also worked at Kountry Klassics Greenhouse as a Plant care and customer service provider from 2004 to 2009. In 2011, Mendel joined the University of Calgary as a Field researcher, conducting various tasks related to inventory, data collection, and analysis until 2013. Starting in 2014, Mendel took on the role of an MSc Student at the University of Calgary, which lasted until 2016. Following that, Mendel pursued a PhD at The University of British Columbia from 2017 to 2022. Currently, Mendel works as a Lead Scientist at AgGene since July 2022.
