Nicola (Nic) Harrop, a Chartered Marketer with over 20 years of international experience, joined Gallagher as Chief Marketing Officer in February 2023.
Nic’s career encompasses all marketing channels and working with businesses to support hardware, software as a service (SaaS) and subscription products.
She joins Gallagher from a senior marketing role at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, where she played a central role in the creation of their marketing operations team to drive the evolution of the company’s brand strategy, including digitisation of online communications and advertising. Prior to this Nic held marketing roles at Compaq NZ, AOL Time Warner in the UK and Europe and led the marketing function for a global leader in IVF manufacturing.
Nic says that she is particularly focussed on “deeply understanding customer needs to connect them to the right products through a seamless experience (however they choose to purchase). This focus on the customer is what enables us to developing strategies and processes that support business expansion and growth ambitions.”
Her experience in prior roles and this customer-first approach makes her perfect for the Chief Marketing Officer role and will help move Gallagher closer to the goals we want to achieve in the coming years.
Outside of Gallagher, with an interest for sharing best practice with the wider marketing sector you’ll find Nic as a key member of the NZ Tech Marketers’ Group; a thriving network (part of NZ Tech Alliance) of over 200 marketing professionals that Nic herself helped to found.
