Matt Ramirez is a seasoned scientist with extensive experience in research and development, particularly in the fields of electrochemical devices and molecular characterization. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist at AgaMatrix since May 2014, Matt's work focuses on advancing technology for self-monitoring blood glucose. Prior experience includes a role as a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Berkeley, where Matt contributed to the development of NMR and MRI contrast agents using hyperpolarized xenon, in addition to teaching chemistry lab courses. Earlier roles include Research Associate positions at Living Proof, Inc., where innovative techniques for cosmetic applications were developed, and an Undergraduate Researcher at MIT, where significant contributions were made to sequence analysis of glycosaminoglycans. Matt holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
