Brett Kizer is an experienced professional in the field of research and development, currently serving as the AFRL Liaison at AFWERX since October 2019. In this role, Brett connects various Air Force Research Lab Technical Directorates with relevant technologies and processes, contributing to the innovation culture fostered by AFWERX, established to enhance collaboration across industry and academia. Prior to this position, Brett worked at the Air Force Research Laboratory from August 2015 to October 2019 as a Portfolio Manager, overseeing a diverse research portfolio in advanced materials. Earlier experience includes serving as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the High Energy Physics Laboratory at The University of Alabama, where research was conducted under Dr. Jerome Busenitz. Brett holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from The University of Alabama, earned in 2015.
