Charles Barros is a seasoned technology and gaming executive with extensive experience in leadership roles within the industry. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Afterverse since April 2021, Charles is the founder and original concept designer of the highly successful games PK XD and Crafty Lands, which collectively boast over 900 million downloads. Prior to this, Charles held significant positions at PlayKids, including Chief Technology Officer and Head of Technology, where oversight of technology strategies and innovation was a key responsibility. Additional experience includes roles at Movile, Mobjoy/Mob.Me, Glu Mobile, and Ubisoft, with a history in game development and programming across various platforms. Charles earned a Master’s degree in Computer Graphics and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from Universidade Estadual de Campinas.
