Deniz Oncel is currently a Research Volunteer at UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute and has been a Nutritionist with AFPA American Fitness Professionals & Associates since May 2021. In the role of Nutritionist, Deniz focuses on coaching clients in nutritional health, designing personalized diet plans, and providing holistic dietary counseling. Deniz has extensive experience in healthcare, including serving as a Pre-doctoral Research Fellow at Doheny Eye Institute, performing patient relations at Huntington Health, and gaining medical experience as a Medical Assistant at T.C. The Ministry of Health Family Health Center and Sancaktepe Prof. Dr. Feriha Öz Emergency Hospital. Additionally, Deniz has engaged in educational roles, including tutoring as a Math Teacher with School on Wheels, Inc. and has contributed to health and wellness journalism as a writer for Their Campus Media. Deniz holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Loyola Marymount University, completed in 2021.
