Alistair Nicholson

Alistair Nicholson is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in sports management and leadership. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the AFL Coaches' Association since March 2021, Nicholson previously held the CEO position at the Australian Cricketers' Association from October 2014 to December 2020. With a robust background in strategy and insights, Nicholson worked at gemba Group in various roles, including Head of Strategy & Insights, from January 2006 to October 2014. Additionally, Nicholson contributed to the AFL Players' Association as a board member from November 1999 to October 2007 and played as an AFL listed player for the Melbourne Football Club from November 1996 to October 2006. Nicholson's academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts from Monash University and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne, along with ongoing professional development in company directors and leadership at the Australian Institute of Company Directors and INSEAD.
