Victoria Thompson is an experienced professional with a strong background in civil rights and communications. Currently serving as the Civil Rights Lead Program Specialist at AFL-CIO since January 2022, Victoria has also held roles as Program Coordinator for Civil, Human & Women’s Rights and Civil and Human Rights Coordinator at the same organization. Prior experience includes positions at Discovery Education as Communications Coordinator, The Glover Park Group as Events Fellow, City First DC as Event and Project Coordinator, and Howard University as Communications Intern. Victoria began their career with internships at Trust for the National Mall and Bright House Networks. Educationally, Victoria holds a Master's Degree in Divinity/Ministry and a B.A. in Journalism with a focus on Public Relations from Howard University, complemented by a high school diploma in Theater Arts from the Alabama School of Fine Arts.
