Nicole Mass, SHRM-SCP, has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Nicole began their career as a Sales Associate in the Ticket Office at The Children's Theatre Company. After that, they worked as an English Teacher in Minnetonka Public Schools and Robbinsdale Area Schools, where they designed curriculum, developed lessons, and taught a variety of language arts and literature courses.
Nicole then transitioned into roles in higher education, starting as an Administrative Assistant in the Department of Philosophy at the University of St. Thomas. Nicole later became a Program Manager and then a Program Coordinator in Graduate Continuing Education for Professional Educators and Graduate English, respectively. In these positions, they managed programs, coordinated courses, and handled various administrative tasks.
Next, Nicole gained experience in finance as a Bookkeeper at Central Parking Systems, where they reconciled accounts, conducted audits, and maintained financial data.
Nicole then moved into the healthcare industry and joined Allina Health as an HR Specialist, HR Coordinator, and finally as a Human Resources Business Partner. In these roles, they partnered with business leaders to develop talent strategies, enforce company policies, and guide performance management processes.
After that, Nicole joined Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota as a Human Resources Business Partner for Corporate Functions. Nicole built relationships with client leadership teams, executed reduction in force activities, and revised HR policies.
Currently, Nicole is serving as a Human Resources Business Partner at Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union. Nicole builds business relationships, implements talent strategies, designs organizational programming, and performs compensation analysis.
Throughout their career, Nicole has demonstrated their expertise in human resources, talent management, policy development, and investigative work. Nicole holds a SHRM-SCP certification, highlighting their commitment to professional development in the field.
Nicole Mass, SHRM-SCP, has a solid education background in the field of education. Nicole began their academic journey at the University of Minnesota, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature/Letters from 1993 to 1997. Nicole further pursued their studies at the same university and obtained a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from 1998 to 2004.

Lastly, Nicole holds the MN Teaching License: 7-12 English/Language Arts from the Minnesota Department of Education, which they obtained in February 2016, enabling their to teach English and language arts to students in grades 7 to 12.
