Nick Oliver has extensive experience in the software engineering and technology fields. Nick began their career in 2000 as a Software Engineer at TransEra Corporation, where they were a junior member of the HTBasic software development team. In 2001, they became a Research Assistant at the Networked Computer Lab at BYU, where they participated in the design and implementation of DOGMAng, a massively parallel metacomputing environment. In 2003, they were a Graduate Student Researcher at the Computer Science Department at UCLA, where they implemented data stream classification components to packet routing processing software on the Intel IXP network processor. From 2004 to 2005, they were a Senior SQA Engineer at Symantec, where they authored the first successful end-to-end automated test harness for the product team. From 2005 to 2021, they were employed at Microsoft, where they held various roles including Principal Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer in Test Lead, Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, and SDET Lead 2. Most recently, they were appointed as the Chief Technology Officer at Stagebase in 2021.
Nick Oliver received their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Brigham Young University in 2002, and their Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2003.
