Sonya Pietrandrea, ing., CRM, currently serves as Assistant Vice President and Senior Account Engineer at AFM Insurance, a position held since August 2018, where responsibilities include assessing account risks and collaborating with underwriting and engineering teams. Previously, Sonya worked at FM Global from May 2011 to August 2018 as a Senior Consultant Engineer, focusing on special chemical risks and assisting policyholders with loss prevention strategies. Earlier experience also includes a role as a Consultant Engineer at Casino de Montreal from April 2009 to May 2011, where Sonya operated as a croupier while ensuring compliance with security regulations. Sonya holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from McGill University, a Risk Management certificate from York University, and has completed various educational programs culminating in a high school diploma from the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program.
