Itay Turgeman is an Electrical Engineer at Afeka Tel Aviv Academic College of Engineering since October 2017, specializing in Image and Video Processing and Computers. Prior to this, Turgeman served in the Israel Defense Forces from October 2013 to October 2017 in various leadership roles, including Major and Unit Vice Commander, where significant organizational changes were implemented to enhance operational effectiveness through new technologies. Turgeman developed a new doctrine to increase the efficiency of battlefield intelligence using drones and communication systems and was the Project Manager for the $20M Tactical UAV system, Skylark 3. As UAV School Commander, Turgeman managed a training school for drone operations, instructing over 100 soldiers and officers, and led a company of officers and soldiers in developing operational doctrines during critical missions, including operation "Protective Edge." Turgeman holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Afeka Tel Aviv Academic College of Engineering, completed in 2021.
