Ranga Sumiran has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their current role as a Design Engineer at Aeva. Prior to this, they worked at Intel Corporation, where they held multiple positions including System-on-Chip Design Engineer and PRE Silicon Verification Engineer. In these roles, they were responsible for various design tasks, such as developing micro-architecture and RTL design, as well as working on innovative compute flows and data re-ordering techniques. Ranga also participated in FPGA based hardware acceleration and software optimization projects during an internship at Intel. Before joining Intel, Ranga was a member at Cyborg and served as the Nano Satellite Project Head at NIT-Rourklea. Ranga also worked as an intern at ITC Infotech and was a member of the Balloon Satellite team at NIT-Rourklea.

Ranga Sumiran completed their Engineer's Degree in Electronics and Instrumentation from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela, which took place from 2012 to 2017. Prior to that, they attended Kendriya Vidya from 2007 to 2012 for their High School education. Additionally, they obtained several certifications, including "Improving Deep Neural Networks" and "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" from Coursera in October 2017 and September 2017, respectively. Ranga also completed certifications in "Creating and Giving Business Presentations" and "Overcoming Your Fear of Public Speaking" from Lynda.com in April 2017 and January 2017, respectively.
