Bart Fondeur is a seasoned professional in photonics and optical engineering with extensive experience in various leadership and technical roles. Currently serving as the Photonics Integration Lead at Aeva, Inc. since May 2021, Bart focuses on designing photonic chips for LIDAR applications. In parallel, Bart is the founder of Spring Photonics LLC, offering consultancy services to telecom companies. Previously, Bart held the position of R&D Director at Lumentum from 2001 to 2021, where responsibilities included managing the PLC R&D group and developing photonic chips for various applications. Other notable roles include Optical Design Manager at JDSU, R&D Engineer at Corning Incorporated, and Optical Engineer at OPTIS WORLD. Bart holds an Engineering Diploma and a Master of Science in Photonics from the Institut d'Optique Graduate School and has participated in a Leadership Development Program at the Center for Creative Leadership since 2018.
