John Shen, MSPH, is a scientist at Aetion since June 2022, previously holding the position of ORISE Fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from June 2021 to May 2022, where important national cyclosporiasis surveillance datasets were processed and an analytical approach linking genotypic signatures with epidemiological metadata was developed. Prior experience includes a quantitative RCT internship at The Task Force for Global Health, supporting a multi-site clinical trial, and independent consulting at ChildVoice, where health education curricula and data collection tools were designed for refugee populations. John Shen also served as a research assistant at Massachusetts General Hospital, contributing to traumatic brain injury studies and mentoring undergraduate interns. Educationally, John Shen holds an MSPH in Global Epidemiology from Emory University and a BS in Neuroscience/Psychology from Boston College.
