Weifeng Liu's work experience includes roles at Aethon Therapeutics, The City University of New York, Pfizer, and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. At Aethon Therapeutics, Weifeng is currently a Senior Principal Scientist. At The City University of New York, Weifeng is an Adjunct Assistant Professor. At Pfizer, Weifeng served as a Principal Scientist in both Viral Vaccines and Protein Therapeutics. At Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Weifeng worked as a Postdoctoral/Graduate Research Fellow, where they conducted research on immune ligand/receptor complexes and utilized structure-based protein engineering.

Weifeng Liu obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biochemistry and Structural Immunology from Albert Einstein College of Medicine between 2009 and 2014. Prior to that, they received a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Xiamen University from 2006 to 2009. Weifeng also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from Xiamen University, which they completed from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their formal education, Liu has obtained certification in Leadership Essentials for Vaccine R&D from Harvard Business Publishing Corporate Learning in 2022.
