Sergio Rodriguez is a Research Scientist at Aethon Therapeutics since July 2023, focusing on advancing healthcare through scientific innovation. Prior to this role, Sergio served as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from August 2018 to July 2023, where contributions included the development of a COVID-19 protein subunit vaccine candidate and the integration of biomanufacturing purification processes within the Love Lab. Additional experience includes a summer research position as an Amgen Scholar in Dr. Douglas Lauffenburger's Lab in Biological Engineering, a COOP Student role at Lilly del Caribe, Inc., and various undergraduate research positions at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez, emphasizing protein isolation, biodiesel production, and biofuel oil quality improvement. Sergio holds a degree in Biological Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a degree in Industrial Biotechnology from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez.
