Madelka McCalla serves as the Chief Corporate Affairs and Impact Officer at The AES Corporation since November 2013, overseeing Stakeholder Relations, Corporate Communications, Sustainability, and Social Impact initiatives. Prior roles at AES include VP of Global Stakeholder Relations and Social Impact, where strategic guidance was provided to distribution businesses and power generation facilities, and EMEA & CIS Stakeholder Relations Director, focusing on stakeholder management strategies. Prior to AES, Madelka held significant positions such as Corporate Social Responsibility Manager for Africa, UN Coordination Specialist for the UNDP, Political Counsellor at the Embassy of Panama in the United States, and Political Attache at the Mission of Panama to the United Nations. Madelka's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University, a Masters in Global Governance and Public Policy from TU Darmstadt, and participation in a summer program at Bucerius Law School.
