Jon Ross has a diverse and extensive background in emerging technology and innovation, currently serving as the Director of Emerging Technology and Director of Business Development at AeroVironment since August 2011, where responsibilities include collaborating with DARPA and other government agencies on advanced technology solutions. Previously, Jon Ross was a Senior Program Manager overseeing unmanned aircraft systems and advanced technical solutions, as well as serving as Director of Innovation for the United States Department of Defense, focusing on transformative technology for the US Southern Command. A veteran of the US Army, Jon Ross held the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, demonstrating leadership at both tactical and strategic levels. Jon Ross holds multiple degrees, including a BA in Philosophy from the University of Rhode Island, two MAs in History and International Relations from Hawaii Pacific University and The Catholic University of America, respectively, an MS in Advanced Military and Operational Studies from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, and is a Ph.D. candidate in International Relations at The Catholic University of America.
