Jonathan Denies has extensive work experience in the technology and engineering field. Jonathan started their career as a Job Student at STMicroelectronics, where they developed on a FPGA. Jonathan then worked as a Mechatronics Engineer at The Mars Society for a short period of time. Jonathan also co-founded the Robotics club Plastivore and served as a teacher at Cogito Belgium.
In 2008, Denies joined Ecole Polytechnique de Louvain as a PhD student and continued their research work until 2013. Jonathan then worked as a Research Assistant at CEREM from 2012 to 2014.
Denies then transitioned to Deloitte Belgium, where they held the position of Senior. Their responsibilities included supporting clients with the implementation and coordination of R&D tax incentives and grants. Jonathan also assisted clients in identifying and validating eligible R&D projects in various sectors.
In 2017, Denies joined Keemotion as a Senior Engineer, working in research and development. Jonathan remained with the company until 2018.
Currently, Denies is working as an Aerospace Engineer and Computer Vision-Data Processing Lead at Aerospacelab.
Jonathan Denies completed their high school education at Collège Notre-Dame Tournai from 1996 to 2002, earning a high school diploma with a focus on Math-Sciences. Following that, they attended the Polytechnic School of Louvain-la-Neuve in Belgium from 2002 to 2008, obtaining a Master's degree in Mechatronics. From 2008 to 2013, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at ENS Cachan in France and the Polytechnic School of Louvain, specializing in Mechatronics.
