Will Kavanagh

Vice President Engineering Services at AerCap Holdings NV

Will Kavanagh has had a diverse and extensive work experience in the aviation industry. Will started their career as an Apprentice Aircraft Engineer at SR Technics Group in 2000 and later became an Aircraft Maintenance Technician. In 2005, they joined CityJet as an Aircraft Engineer and eventually took on the role of Lead Engineer. During their time at CityJet, they also worked as an EASA Part 147 Technical Lecturer.

In 2012, Will joined ASL Airlines Ireland as a Continuing Airworthiness Engineer. After working there for three years, they moved to CAE Parc Aviation in 2015. At CAE Parc Aviation, they held various positions, including Avionic & Electrical Compliance Verification Engineer and Continuing Airworthiness Engineer & ARC Signatory (EASA Form 4 Post Holder). Will also served as the Design Manager for a period of time.

In 2018, Will joined Boeing as an Avionic & Electrical Compliance Verification Engineer. And in 2019, they joined AerCap, where they currently hold the position of Director of Engineering Services. Additionally, in 2023, they will transition to the role of Vice President of Engineering Services at AerCap.

Will Kavanagh's education history is as follows:

- From 2013 to 2014, Will attended the Law Society of Ireland and obtained a Diploma in Aviation Leasing and Finance, specializing in Aircraft Leasing.

- In the period from 2009 to 2011, Will studied at Kingston University and earned a BEng (Hons) degree in Aerospace and Aeronautical Engineering. Will graduated with a 1st class Honours in this field.

- Between 2000 and 2004, Will pursued an Aircraft Engineering Apprenticeship at Technological University Dublin. During this apprenticeship, they gained expertise in the area of Airframe Mechanics and Aircraft Maintenance Technology.

- In the same time frame as their apprenticeship, Will also achieved an EASA Part 66 A, B1 & B2 license from EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) and the IAA (Irish Aviation Authority). This license further solidified their knowledge and skills in Airframe Mechanics and Aircraft Maintenance Technology.

Will also possesses additional certifications, such as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License from EASA and a Compliance Verification Engineer certification from the EASA as well. However, the obtained month and year for these certifications are not specified.
