Shawn Burrell has a strong background in information technology with over two decades of experience. Shawn currently holds the position of Director of Information Technology at Aegis Security Insurance Company and Seaview Insurance Company, starting in April 2022. Prior to this, Shawn worked at Sutter Insurance Company for over 20 years, holding roles such as IT Director / IT Consultant and Director of Information Technology. Shawn also has experience as a Manager of Information Technology at teXolutions from 2000 to 2002 and as a Field Service Engineer at Structured Business Systems and teXolutions from 1998 to 2000.

Shawn Burrell obtained a GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) from the SANS Technology Institute. Shawn also attended Empire College School of Business and studied Computer Support and System Administration. In addition, they have obtained various certifications including CPR/AED/First Aid, OCWA OnBase Certified Workflow Administrator, OCSA OnBase Certified System Administrator, MCP Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional, MCP Microsoft Windows 2000 Server, Outdoor First Care (OFC), SIRE Workflow, Sire Administrator, and Wireless Point-to-Point.
