Christopher Merritt currently serves as the IT Manager at Aegis Medical Group, a position held since September 2023. Prior to this role, Christopher was an IT Specialist for the City of Groveland from June 2020 to September 2023. Christopher's experience in law enforcement includes serving as a CID Detective at the Sumter County Sheriff's Office from October 2008 to June 2020, with training in mobile forensics. Christopher also served as an Infantry Soldier in the Florida National Guard from May 2001 to May 2008, participating in natural disaster response and active duty in Iraq from 2003 to 2004. Academic credentials include a Cyber Security Certificate from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Information Technology from Purdue Global.
