Laura Vera is a seasoned professional in machine learning and data engineering, currently serving as a Senior ML Engineer at Adyen since September 2023. Prior to this role, Laura was with BBVA Next Technologies from May 2019 to September 2023, where responsibilities included enhancing data pipelines in PySpark and investigating Large Language Models. Laura's experience at Spotify from June 2017 to February 2019 involved designing and maintaining tools and services within the data platform, utilizing technologies such as Java and various Google Cloud products. Earlier roles include a data infrastructure internship at LakeTide and research positions at the Center for Open Middleware and Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Laura holds multiple degrees, including an EIT Digital Master in Data Science and a Master’s in Informatics Engineering, both from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
