Uzo Okoro is a dedicated youth advocate and academic support specialist with extensive experience in public health and community engagement. As a Youth Ambassador for Advocates for Youth since January 2015, Uzo has effectively promoted HIV/AIDS awareness and youth empowerment, actively engaging with government officials and organizing community events. Concurrently, Uzo serves in various capacities at Brown University, including as an Academic Peer Advisor for Women’s Varsity Track & Field, where guidance and support are provided to student-athletes, as well as an Academic Tutor focusing on foundational science courses. Uzo's role as a Summer@Brown Residential Advisor involves mentoring and community-building among residents, and previous positions include a Welcome Center Specialist and Community Assistant, showcasing leadership in fostering an inclusive and supportive campus environment. Additionally, Uzo conducts research at Miriam Hospital, contributing to scholarly work on behavioral health in Nigeria, while holding a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health from Brown University.
