Niharika Rao is a seasoned advocate in reproductive health and rights with extensive experience in political and legislative affairs. Currently serving as a Political and Legislative Affairs Associate at the National Institute for Reproductive Health/NIRH Action Fund since October 2023, Niharika also co-chairs the Board of Directors for Jane's Due Process while actively participating as a member and volunteer. Niharika has facilitated the Abortion Support Program at Advocates for Youth since January 2022, leading a successful policy campaign that advanced medication abortion access on college campuses in New York. Previous roles include contributions as a Research Assistant at Columbia Law School and an Arthur Liman Summer Fellow at Yale Law School, along with internships focused on legal assistance and reproductive rights. Niharika holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Gender Studies from Barnard College and Columbia University, following an International Baccalaureate Diploma from UWC South East Asia.
