Pallavi Sharma has a diverse work experience in the biotechnology industry. Pallavi joined Adverum Biotechnologies in 2020 as an Associate Director in Scientific Program Management, and quickly progressed to Director and Senior Director roles before becoming the Executive Director in 2023. Prior to Adverum, they worked at Adverum Biotechnologies, Inc. from 2014 to 2018, starting as an Associate Scientist and eventually becoming a Senior Scientific Program Manager in Pharmaceutical Development. Before that, they worked at MedImmune/AstraZeneca from 2009 to 2013 as an Associate Project Manager and Associate Scientist. Pallavi began their career at Genentech in 2004 as a Research Associate in Oncology Diagnostics and later in Cell Culture and Engineering. Pallavi also had a summer internship at the National Centre of Biological Sciences in 2001.

Pallavi Sharma holds a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) degree from Project Management Institute (PMI). Pallavi also completed a Project Management program in the Life Science Industries at the University of California, Berkeley. Pallavi has a Master of Science degree in MBT Biotechnology & Business from San Jose State University and a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology from AMU, Aligarh India. Additionally, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from AMU, Aligarh India.
