Aleah Denny has extensive experience in outdoor recreation and education, currently serving as a Raft Guide at Adventures on the Gorge since June 2022 and as a Health Educator at New River Health since August 2019. Prior to these roles, Aleah worked as a Raft Guide at River Expeditions from May 2011 to June 2022 and held various teaching positions, including Biology/Earth Science Teacher at Fayette County Schools from August 2014 to June 2019, and Science Teacher roles at Self Enhancement, Inc., Valley High School, and West Virginia schools between 2009 and 2014. Aleah started a career in outdoor education as a Raft Guide at Adventure Connection in 2007 and gained experience as a Video Boater with ACE and a Science Teacher at New River Kayak Academy. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Teaching specializing in Secondary Education General Science and Biology from Marshall University and a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries from West Virginia University.
