Scott Callan has held various roles in the fields of development, multimedia sound design, audio engineering, and teaching. In 2021, they were the Acting Director of Development and Director for Individual Giving at The GroundTruth Project. From 2017 to 2021, they were the Associate Director of Philanthropy and Donor Relations Manager at The Nature Conservancy. From 2014 to 2017, they were the Director, Special Gifts Program and Director of Special Gifts at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. From 2010 to 2014, they were the Executive Director at The History Center in Tompkins County. From 2007 to 2010, they were the Associate Director for Institutional Advancement at the Paleontological Research Institution. From 2004 to 2007, they were the Manager of Development Operations at the McLean County Museum of History. From 2001 to 2004, they were a Teacher of Social Studies at Newport News Public Schools. From 1999 to 2001, they were a Historical Interpretor - Historic Trades at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. In 2023, they will be the Head of Development at Adventure Scientists.
Scott Callan received their Bachelor of Arts from Old Dominion University between 1995 and 1999. Scott then went on to receive their Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from Dartmouth College between 2002 and 2004.
