Kelly Savage has a diverse work experience, starting their career as a Communications Intern at Charlie Crist for Governor (FL) in 2014. Kelly then worked as an Attorney General at the University of Mississippi, conducting and overseeing student elections and judicial proceedings. Kelly later joined the University of Mississippi Foundation as a Public Relations Intern. Kelly gained experience in media and journalism as a News Anchor & Reporter, News Director, and Executive Producer at NewsWatch. In 2014, they became the Director of Media Relations at Ole Miss Big Event, the state of Mississippi's largest community service project. Kelly's most recent work experience includes roles at Advanced Recovery Systems, LLC, where they served as an Account Executive, Community Outreach Coordinator, Senior Community Outreach Coordinator, Outreach Director for the IAFF Center of Excellence, and currently serves as the Outreach Director for First Responder & Veterans Programs. In these roles, Kelly has focused on supporting first responders and veterans in their pursuit of behavioral health treatment, educating stakeholders on behavioral health issues, and advocating for better resources.
Kelly Savage attended the University of Mississippi from 2012 to 2016, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism. During their time at the university, they also specialized in Media Management and Public Relations.
